The X500+ Turbocharger is the ultimate stock location solution for EJ-power Subarus. Like the X500, we’ve combined an unparalled quick-spooling turbo matched with high volume airflow. The X500+ will support over 500whp with proper supporting mods. With a stock inlet size, it truly is a bolt-on unit. Turbo includes everything you need to install including our SureSeal © multi-layer gaskets to ensure leak-free operation and brand new downpipe studs. We Strongly suggest running our line kit or another aftermarket feed line kit to ensure adequate oiling to the turbocharger.
Our line kit offers stainless braided high pressure AN lines and AN fittings to ensure proper flow volume and leak-free operation.
We have turbos in the field with over 60,000 miles of hard use with unmatched reliability! Please note, this turbo is only available in the STI-Style compressor housing. You will need to clearance your air pump hard line on 08-14 WRX to address a minor clearance issue on the compressor cover.
Thank you all for the reviews!

What do most people want from a turbo? They want the fastest spool, but don’t want to sacrifice top end power. The X500+ offers both, on an almost unbelievable level. Chance are a friend or fellow enthusiast you know has one of the BCP X500+ turbochargers. If you ask, they will confirm that this turbo has an excellent part throttle feel, transitioning in and out of boost effortlessly. Using the stock inlet means easy install, and no added cost of larger inlets (or fighting to install it)! This turbo is compatible will all aftermarket 5 bolt USDM downpipes and even the stock downpipe. Remember, we suggest using our line kit to ensure proper oiling.

Warranty Info:
At BCP, we want your turbo to exceed your expectations, so PLEASE consider the following: Boost leaks are the number one killer of turbo bearings. It is not uncommon for modified cars to experience boost leaks at some point in their life and it’s critical that you avoid these especially when running this turbocharger above 20psi+. Use a good quality motorsport oil (like MOTUL or AMSOIL) and ensure that your oil level is always full. A lack of oil to the turbocharger is almost a guarantee that it will fail. Ensure your oil supply (feed lines) are clear of debris. This includes the OEM Subaru BANJO bolts that have a filter inside from the factory (this is a common area that clogs). We do NOT suggest running any type of oil restrictor on this turbo.
BCP turbos are effective and reliable when operated under their intended use. There are many factors that can negatively impact your turbocharger that include but are not limited to: Improper installation, oil contamination, operation outside of intended use, overspeeding of the turbo, air contamination, foreign debris ingestion, overheating, lack of lubrication, and improper cool down. Due to the nature of performance engines and unknowns surrounding the turbocharger, outside of clear and obvious merchantability defects, there is no warranty, express or implied, on BCP turbochargers. The turbocharger is sold “AS-IS” and with all faults.
With that being said, If you experience a failure within the turbocharger, you may email sales@bcpdirect.com for instructions on how to receive a return authorization and have the turbo inspected. Please note, inspection fees may apply based on the type of failure.

This turbo for the cost and ease of installation/use is far beyond the 30R’s and other name brand 20G that I’ve ran. Pound for pound it’s made more power and faster ET’s, 10.98@124. I can’t say enough about it’s peak torque and almost equivalent spool rate to the factory VF48. I’m a skeptic of most sales pitches, but I can’t find any downside regarding this turbo.

This turbo is an absolute beast for your stock location needs. This thing should be spooling up at 4.2K rpm with the size but it comes on much quicker @ around 3700rpm and just pushes you back into the seat and pulls for days! It just doesn’t want to stop sucking and blowing unlike the vf48 that chokes out at 5.3K RPM. Seriously a great turbo for the price, and an even greater company behind it to support it. Running x500+ on e85 (full bolt-ons) with 1Kcc Injectors and stock block put me at well over 400whp @ 20psi!!! When my new block goes in, the boost will definitely get bumped up! 😀

We use the BCP X500 in all of our stock location builds. It makes great power, spools within 500rpm of stock and the guys at BCP stand behind their product and always answer our questions in a timely manner. Keep up the good work guys!

I’ve now tuned over a dozen BCP turbos and all have been top notch. The response and power capability is simply unmatched by any other bolt on turbo for the Subaru market. This is a true bolt on, stock inlet turbocharger that fits a wide range of goals. We now exclusively run this turbo on all in-house builds with goals of 400-550whp, even on stock engines. You can expect spool within 500rpm of the stock VF turbo, yet 550whp capability at 26+psi on ethanol based fuels. On stock engine setups, we’ve reliably done 400whp on pump gas 93oct, and 450whp on E85 at only 21psi.

I had a chance to tune this turbo on a 2015 STI with a basic Manley piston/rod engine with Brian Crower 272 cams and springs. It easily made 587awhp and 551 ftlbs at 25psi on the Mustang dyno. Not often can cheap, fast and reliable be applied to a turbocharger but this one definitely fits the bill. I was extremely impressed and will recommend this turbo to others that are looking for a solid 550-600awhp turbocharger without going rotated.

Amazing! Customer service was superb, they went out of their way to explain why their turbo was better than the competition in a simple, non-salesy fashion. Could not be happier with the results! Highly recommend Full bolt ons, X500+ on Cobb 1300 Inj. 467/425 @26.5 lbs. on E-85 JR Tune

This turbo is awesome. Installs on a stock inlet AND can make 500wheel? Didn’t think it was possible until i found out for myself. I did have a small mix-up on the wastegate clearance but the guys at BCP explained to me that the internal gate on the turbo can fit close to a Grimmspeed TMIC. I used a small spacer on the intercooler mount bracket, and it fixed everything! Made 502whp at 23psi on my 2007 sti. I am planning on EWG and front mount next spring.
